Maybe it's just that I have a chemistry problem set due, maybe it's that I haven't gotten enough sleep lately, maybe it's that you're engaged on one of the most extraordinary things I've ever known someone to do (probably it's all three), but I can't help but think that while I am paying so much money to be where I am, with a bicycle and an open mind you are learning a hell of a lot more about life, the way the world works, and yourself than I ever will.
Did you get to vote?
With my encouragement, impressed as always, Mark Hintz
Your title about the headwind reminds me of a corny joke I just saw on a "Hee Haw" rerun!! "the wind was so strong that a chicken that was standing with her back into the wind laid the same egg 5 times!"
My husband and I like country music and bluegrass, so we have tivo'd a few Hee Haw episodes.
I guess I should let you know who I am! My husband and I attend the Baltimore Shambhala meditation center. I volunteer in the office with your Aunt every week.
Mark - I am on one road, you are on another; we are both living life; we are both learning plenty. I did vote. I sent my absentee ballot in quite a while ago. I was lucky enough to be staying with my Aunt in Colorado, so I was able to get the good news!

Katrynka- it's always great to see new people on the blog! Thanks for reading and commenting!
What beautiful country, Alex. You must be burning some serious carbs, though! Keep on truckin'!
Jon
Jon- I remember reading somewhere that a person burns 6000 calories biking at a good pace for 6 hours. I'm wondering if that's true.
